Kirk Denney is a professional artist, educator, college administrator and business owner who has been in the art business for more than 30 years. He has gained a stellar reputation as a trusted artist who creates custom pieces exactly as the customer envisions. His work is in numerous corporate collections such as Nortel Communications, EVO Corporation in New York, NY, American Express, Coca Cola Corporate Collection, Atlanta, GA, the Ritz-Carlton in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, The Department of Homeland Security, Washington, D.C., Turner Music Group, Nashville, TN, The Miami Airport and the Aruba Palm Beach Hotel and Casino in Aruba, to name just a few. Working closely with individual customers, designers and specifiers, he has created masterful pieces for public spaces, restaurants and private residences across the United States and several countries around the world!

 

Kirk is the Vice President of Talent Development and Strategic Engagement at Nossi College of Art and Design in Nashville, Tennessee, where he teaches. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Madison, Rivergate Areas Chamber of Commerce in Nashville. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Visual Art (with a major emphasis in Painting) from the University of Florida, where he taught Painting and Life Drawing among other classes. He was the former Campus Director of Education (previously the Department Chair of Design) at the International Academy of Design and Technology in Nashville, Tennessee, where he taught for more than nine years. In 2011, he was named "National Educator of the Year" by Career Education Corporation in Chicago. He was chosen from more than 1600 nominees. He was also the previous owner of the Nashville-based art gallery, "Village Arts Company".

Having moved to Tennessee from South Florida, Kirk currently resides in Nashville, where he lives with a rather grumpy dog named "Darwin". He continues to create masterful art (Kirk, not Darwin)!

CUSTOM WORK ​PROCESS:

Customers choose what they want in terms of imagery, size, colors, etc., and the artwork is made to their exact specifications. There is no guesswork involved; there is no more running around in an attempt to find the perfect piece for a particular space.
